About Buddy Wright
I’m Buddy Wright – Willow Park City Councilman, Place 3.
Hometown Ties
My roots to Parker County run deep. My family moved here in 1985, and I graduated from Weatherford High School in 1991. I’ve been married to my wife, Jill, for 19 years, and we’ve lived in Willow Park for nearly 14 years. Our kids Jack and Jordan are students at Aledo High School, and we are members of Aledo United Methodist Church.

Education and Career
I am a graduate of Texas A&M University, with a bachelor's degree in History and a master’s degree in Industrial Distribution. I’ve been an employee at Lockheed Martin for 17 years, and I’m currently an Operations Engineering Manager. My job involves overseeing a team that manages lead time and production span for the F35, C130 and F16 programs.
In my career, I’ve been recognized as a leader, a creative problem solver, and an effective communicator. In my job at Lockheed, I work to bring cost-effective efficiencies to our major production programs. I can bring those skills to the Willow Park City Council.

Volunteerism and Service
I have worked to serve my community in multiple ways. In my early career, I was a math teacher at Weatherford High School.
More recently, I have served as a youth baseball coach at Aledo Athletics, and a youth soccer coach with the YMCA and Fort Worth Youth Soccer. I’ve also volunteered with the Aledo School District as a Watchdog at McCall Elementary. I’ve volunteered and contributed to the High School Baseball and Soccer Booster Clubs. I also serve as the manager for my daughter’s club soccer team, managing budget and schedules for two teams and 35 players / families. In 2023-2024, I served on the Missions Committee at Aledo UMC.
Service to my community is important to me. Willow Park is home, and I believe it is important to give back to your neighbors. Serving on the City Council is just another way to serve.

Other Fun Facts
In my off-time, I love watching our kids play sports. Jack plays baseball, and Jordan plays soccer, so we’re often at the ballpark or the soccer field. I enjoy cooking, and you’ll usually find me in the kitchen or out by the smoker in the backyard. I also enjoy competitive trivia, culminating in an appearance on Jeopardy! in 2010. In 2011, I was invited back to the Tournament of Champions, where I was a finalist.
